Mediaprobe is looking for a Data Engineer who possesses a minimum of 3 years  of experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, or a similar field.

Mediaprobe is a media measurement company, playing at the forefront of the industry, by revolutionizing the way emotional impact is measured and quantified in media.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines that power our analytics and machine learning models. You will work closely with our data scientists and product teams to ensure high data quality and availability.

Is it you we’re looking for?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines;
  • Develop and manage data models and databases to support business intelligence and data science;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity;
  • Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and cost;
  • Ensure data security and compliance with privacy standards.

 

Requirements

Must have:

  • Solid experience with data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g.: Mage.AI, Apache Airflow, PySpark, dbt);
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL;
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS);
  • Experience with streaming data (e.g., Kafka)
  • Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift);
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and system design.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD practices;
  • Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift);
  • Familiarity with ML Ops or collaboration with machine learning teams;
  • Familiarity with cluster management (preferably Kubernets )
  • Previous work in media, advertising, or biometric data domains.

The interview process for this role consists of 3 (/at least 3) stages:

  1. Initial Screening: In this first interview, with the People & Culture team and the Team/Tech leader. We will review your experience and background, assess your fit for the role, and provide an overview of the project you’ll be working on, helping you understand how it aligns with your career goals.
  2. Technical interview/challenge: In the second stage, you will participate in a technical interview  with our data engineer team. The focus will be on your experiences and abilities in data engineering. We will send you a small challenge to do at home.
  3. Technical interview result: In the third stage, you will be the star. You can show us your challenge code and discuss it with the data engineer team. The focus will be on the methodology and skills, not in the result.
