Sales Development Representative

Sales Development Representative

We are a media measurement company, playing at the forefront of the industry, by revolutionizing the way emotional impact is measured and quantified in media.

Mindprober Labs Inc. (EUA) is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR), responsible for generating and nurturing leads to drive the growth of the company’s client base. This role requires a highly motivated and results-driven individual who is adept at building relationships with potential clients through various communication channels. The SDR will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities, qualify leads, and schedule meetings with prospective clients. The ideal candidate will have a blend of education, experience, and skills that align with Mindprober’s mission to innovate within the media, advertising, and technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

Lead Qualification: The SDR will be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads through various outreach methods, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media. This involves researching potential clients, understanding their needs, and determining their fit with Mindprober’s offerings.

Appointment Setting: Once leads are qualified, the SDR will schedule meetings or calls between these prospects and the sales team. This step is critical for advancing leads through the sales pipeline.

Pipeline Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of leads and their status in the CRM system is essential. The SDR must ensure that all interactions are documented and that the pipeline reflects the current status of each lead.

Performance Metrics: The SDR is expected to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), such as the number of calls made, emails sent, and leads converted. Regular reporting to the Head of Client Success on these metrics will be required to track progress and adjust strategies as needed.

Account Management: Collaborate with account management teams to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads, providing support in initial stages of client onboarding to foster strong client relationships from the outset.

Weekly Reporting: The SDR will be responsible for creating and delivering comprehensive weekly reports on the status of sales, leads, and related metrics. This includes summarizing outreach activities, lead progression, conversion rates, and identifying key trends. The reports should provide actionable insights to help inform strategies and align with the objectives of the sales and client success teams. Regular updates will be shared with the Head of Client Success and other relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and continuous improvement in lead generation efforts.

  • Mentorship & Training Responsibilities:

As Mindprober continues to expand, the SDR will play a pivotal role in onboarding and mentoring new team members, ensuring a seamless integration into the client success team. This responsibility includes:

Onboarding New Colleagues: Assisting in the orientation process for new hires, introducing them to Mindprober’s client management processes, tools, and best practices.

Knowledge Sharing: Providing insights, guidance, and resources to help new team members understand client needs, effective engagement techniques, and Mindprober’s service offerings.

Skill Development: Supporting the growth of junior team members by helping them develop critical skills in relationship management, negotiation, and problem-solving to uphold Mindprober’s high client service standards.

Ongoing Support: Serving as a go-to resource for newer colleagues, answering questions and offering constructive feedback to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • High proficiency in English is required.
  • Must be available to go to the office in New York City a few times per week.

Please only apply if you meet all these requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role. The SDR must be able to articulate Mindprober’s value proposition clearly and persuasively, engaging potential clients through phone calls, emails, and social media.

Persuasion and Negotiation: The ability to influence and negotiate with potential clients is essential. The SDR must be skilled in overcoming objections and closing initial conversations that lead to more in-depth discussions with the sales team.

Time Management: The role demands excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time to meet deadlines. The SDR will often 2handle multiple leads simultaneously and must ensure timely follow-up and documentation.

Technology Savvy: A strong comfort level with digital tools is necessary, including the use of LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email automation tools, and CRM systems. The candidate should be proficient in leveraging these technologies to enhance outreach efforts and track performance.

Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze market trends, customer data, and campaign results is important. The SDR will use these insights to optimize outreach strategies, ensuring that efforts are targeted and effective.

Educational Background:

Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field is highly preferred. This educational foundation will provide the candidate with a strong understanding of the principles of sales, marketing, and business operations.

Relevant Certifications: While not mandatory, certifications in sales-related areas, such as HubSpot Sales Software, or other industry-recognized programs, are considered advantageous. These certifications demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and proficiency in modern sales techniques and tools.

Experience:

  • Sales Experience: The candidate should bring 3-5 years of experience in a sales role, with a strong preference for experience within a B2B (business-to-business) environment. This experience should include direct responsibility for lead generation, outbound sales, and the development of client relationships.
  • Industry Experience: Experience within the media, advertising, or technology industries is highly desirable. This background will allow the candidate to quickly understand Mindprober’s offerings and the competitive landscape.
  • Lead Generation: The candidate must have a proven track record of success in lead generation, particularly through outbound sales efforts such as cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling. Demonstrable success in driving leads through the sales funnel is essential.
  • CRM Proficiency: Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is a must, with experience in platforms like Salesforce or HubSpot being particularly valuable. The candidate should be comfortable using these tools to manage pipelines, track interactions, and analyze data.

Knowledge:

  • Market Knowledge: A strong understanding of the U.S. market, particularly key industries, competitors, and market dynamics, is important. This knowledge will help the SDR identify potential opportunities and tailor their approach to different market segments.
  • Product Knowledge: The candidate should either have familiarity with Mindprober’s products and services or demonstrate a strong willingness and ability to quickly learn about them. Understanding the value proposition and unique selling points is essential for effective outreach.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: The Sales Development Representative (SDR) position offers a competitive base salary, commensurate with experience and industry standards.
  • Commission Structure: In addition to the base salary, the SDR will be eligible for a performance-based commission. This commission structure is tied to key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of qualified leads generated, meetings scheduled, and leads converted into opportunities.
  • Bonuses: The SDR may also be eligible for periodic bonuses based on individual and team performance. These bonuses could be tied to achieving specific targets, such as quarterly or annual goals, or could be discretionary based on overall contribution to the company’s success.

Location and Flexibility:

  • Location: While Mindprober’s headquarters are in New York City, the company is open to candidates who prefer a hybrid work environment. This flexibility allows for a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration (you must be present in the office on some days of the week – to be defined.)
  • Travel: The SDR should be willing and able to travel as required for trade shows, client meetings, or team events. Travel may be infrequent but is an important aspect of the role when necessary.
